Dave LaPoint as he joins Big League Sports Academy!!!

Dave LaPoint is the current manager for the Long Island Ducks. He enjoyed 12 seasons in the Major Leagues and won a World Series title with the St. Louis Cardinals in his rookie season of 1982.
A left hander known for his impeccable control, LaPoint was the winning pitcher in the Cardinals division-clinching victory in 1982 and posted a 3.24 ERA in eight-plus innings of work in two World Series appearances that season. LaPoint finished his career with an 80-86 record and a 4.02 ERA in 294 games. Since his playing days, LaPoint has coached professionally in the minor leagues as well as the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, while also serving as a general manager, agent and private coach.
Dave was also a member of the New York Yankees from 1989 to 1990. In his time with Yankees Dave pitched in 48 games, 47 of those games were starts with 1 relief appearance. He has compiled a 13-19 record with 2 complete games.
Dave has been a professional pitching coach for 9 years and has taught hundreds of youth in the Long Island area. Now he brings his expertise to Big League Sports Academy. Welcome aboard, Dave!
